Tuesday rains
Sitting at work looking outside, rain pouring and lighting striking back and forth; the wonder of nature makes me realize how intricate the designs of God are. We strive so often for originality and foolishly look for ways to make a name for ourselves without the help of God, but why, though? I mean, what greater person to give us ideas and teach us who we truly are than the one who knit us in our mother’s womb, placed the boundaries of the oceans, and created a universe that not even the greatest of scientists can comprehend. To me, His voice should be the voice we constantly follow, and even with that knowledge we still abandon His constant and unrelenting call until we realize that without Him, we are nothing. Eh, just a thought for this morning ;)

And so we can just pour out the fullness of our heart, the burden of our spirit, the sorrow that crushes us, and know that He hears, He loves, He understands, He receives; and He separates from our prayer all that is imperfect, ignorant and wrong, and presents the rest, with the incense of the great High Priest, before the throne on high; and our prayer is heard, accepted and answered in His name. —A. If there is one thing I learned in my legal environment of business class, it was the importance of using shall rather than will in any promissory note. The word shall confirms that without exception, a duty is going up be followed through, and will can be a bit more lenient. This morning, I woke up with the Lord telling me, “blessed are the pure in heart, for they SHALL see God. He could have easily put it into simpler terms, terms that I use; for example, “will”. To me, He used shall to let me know that He is unrelenting in his promise and there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that will disallow me to see His face if I truly and sincerely purify my heart. Now we may ask ourselves, “God commands us to do more things than just purify our hearts so we can make it to heaven.” Think about it, one whose heart is pure is one who has recognized sin, and has gone out of his way to be changed by God. If a person has been changed by God and has been purified by Him, he/she can assure us that he has followed all of God’s commandments to the best of his/her ability; the commandments to love, to speak the truth, to not covet, he has changed his speech, his thoughts, and so many more things that God has commanded us To do. I guess With this being said, the first step in anyones walk with God, whether old or new, is to be purified by him, and this purification will show us our sin, and cause us to change; and the most beautiful reward is that we shall see God.
